Tom Selleck

Tom Selleck-2American actor Thomas William Selleck. His most famous part was as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) and for which he received five nominations for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series. He won the award in 1985. In the series Blue Bloods, Selleck has starred as Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. In nine television films inspired by the Robert B. Parker novels in which he portrayed Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town, beginning in 2005. Selleck also played Peter Mitchell as a bachelor architect who is a student architect in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady(1990). In addition to his role in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has appeared in more than 50 movies and television shows, including the movies Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He played the regular television role of Monica Geller's love and affluent Dr. Richard Burke and Lance White on Friends. In addition the role of A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. He also played a lead role in the television western The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran and a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser in ads for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
